Can we do any useful work in kitchen if there are no handles attached with the kitchen units? Of course not!

So before the construction of kitchen, it is better to think a little bit about the handles. Definitely the handles which are most convenient to use should be chosen. Different designs of handles are available in the market, made up of wide variety of materials like stainless steel, satin nickel, aluminum, cast iron, brass and much more. All of these materials are enough suitable for the kitchen. So, our headache is not to think about the material, but to think about the design of handle convenient for the specific use.

Bar handle is the most common model among all of the handles available in the market, and can be fixed either in horizontal position or the vertical position depending on the height to which handle is to be fixed. At the heights where we have to lift our arms, the bar handle must be fixed vertically in order to be convenient for our hand. If someone fixed it horizontally at that high location, he will definitely get an effect of pain in his hand each time he use it. If the height of the handle is to be lower than the level of belly, then better is to place the bar handle in the horizontal position to be easy to use.

On the other hand, there are handles available which are equally convenient at all the heights, but these handles are not much attractive compared to the bar handles. Due to this reason these are not as much common. Among all of these designs, a little bit successful one is the knob like handle, having a little globe like shape. But its drawback is that it cannot have much variety of designs, because its globe like shape is to be maintained. But its beauty is that it can be made wooden, so seems very attractive when used with the wooden units. Also all the handles in the whole kitchen would be same, because there is no issue of fixing it horizontally or vertically. Both of these advantages made these handles successful, but not as much as the bar handles.

At this time some latest designs are also available in the market, but in these designs consideration is given only to the beauty of design, not to the convenience of use. So, someone has to make compromise between the beauty of the handles and ease of his hands. Better is to choose the convenience of hands, but no doubt beauty is also important. So, choice is yours!
