Kitchen Unit Leg

For most people, kitchen cabinets usually suffice when it comes to storage needs. The abundant space they offer is more than is needed. There are some homeowners that feel the need to add a kitchen wall unit to the picture. It serves more or less the same purpose as the kitchen cabinet, only that this one comes in isolation. A kitchen unit can be on its own, whereas the cabinets all come together. The unit also has the additional advantage of mobility. This is only for some units though as there are others that are wall mounted.

For the mobile kitchen units and those that don’t need wall mounting, legs are often required. Standing the unit on the ground usually depreciates its underside, which is why legs are preferred in the first place. Unit legs are of different types, and classifying them into the stationery and wheeled ones makes the understanding easier. For mobility, the unit legs come with a set of wheels, which makes moving the unit from point A to point B much easier. They usually have a lock mechanism to secure the unit in place if movement is unnecessary. For some units you have a combination of the mobile and the stationary ones. These can easily be moved from one point to another, and yet remain still when they are rested in place, without any slight movements at all.

Kitchen unit legs usually come with the units themselves. You usually get to install them yourself, when you are fixing the unit in place. A lock mechanism makes it easy for you to attach them without making references to a manual. There are some where you get to screw the legs into the unit, which is easier too if you have the tools for the job. As you would imagine, going out in search of kitchen unit legs would be awkward, which is why manufacturers avail them. But in the remote chance that they become faulty, you can easily trace them, especially online. They are usually made of metal, like aluminum and are sold in sets of four. When you want control over the height of the kitchen unit from the floor, you could get adjustable ones. However, by default, the unit legs are usually 150mm in height. These unit legs are often visible from a distance. The advantage of having units with legs is that cleaning the floor below them is always possible, unlike in wall mounted units.
