The bath is an essential room in the house. Anytime the term remodeling is mentioned, it’s either the kitchen or the bathroom that is in question. Investing in lighting fixtures is the way to give your bath a new look. The first, and most common type of lighting fixture found in baths is ceiling lighting. It could be recessed or not. This is the best light for task illumination- when you want light to reach every corner of the bath. Depending on the intensity of light that you want, you could have a one bulb fixture, or one that holds multiple bulbs. The latter is better. If you feel like the amount of light being given off is too much, consider having glass shades over them. It adds décor, and subdues the light, limiting it to what you feel is enough.

Chandeliers and pendant lighting fixtures are not too common when it comes to the bath. However if you like their appeal, you can always find some that are suited to the bath. Only make sure that your home’s ceiling is not low-hung, as the pendant lights will not look that way. Wall lighting bath fixtures are common for bathrooms. There are sconce lights practical designed for use in the bath. These are not designed for task illumination, unless they are multiple. When it comes to the area around the mirror especially, these work great. The most loved design is that with wall light fixtures on both sides of the mirror. This is for creation of enough light when you are shaving or putting on makeup. If wall fixtures are not your thing, you could try task light fixtures just above the mirror.

If your bathroom is large, you should consider having differently positioned lights for increased lighting convenience. Wall lights are best for this. For mood lighting, ensure your fixtures are dimmable. This will help you in adjusting the brightness levels that are desired.
