Light bulb power has definitely come a long way, standing the test of time and emerging top, with the light bulb being the most common household fixture the world over. The intensity of a bulb’s light is determined by the type of bulb used and the materials that were used in the manufacture of it. The bulb is therefore a source of electric light that is used for various purposes in homes and industrial applications. The intensity of the light produced depends highly on the wattage rating of a particular bulb. The bigger the wattage the more the intensity of the light emitted and vice versa. The modern day led or light emitting diode lamps are good for lighting homes because apart from giving more light, they emit little or no heat. Therefore, for halls and other meeting places, they are the most preferred. They have a long life and are accident free as most of them come encased in hard plastic casings that will not break even if stepped onto. This, coupled with the fact that they use much lesser energy than their incandescent counterpart bulbs by at least 60% have made them everyone’s favorite. They have no filament; and they burn instantly when switched on, giving out a brilliant light. Their rated lifetime is about 90000 hours more than that of incandescent bulbs. Xenon lights come with the best package of advantages and they are used far and wide in the vehicle industry as well as at home. They are cheap and consume very little energy while giving a great output at the same time. Xenon, an inert gas is added to other common inert gases like argon and it is what gives the brilliant white glow as it burns. They are easy to install calling for no particular expertise. They are designed to last a very long time. The market at large has got bulbs that are rated for low budget, high output, class and lifestyle.
