A lot of facts and stories could be told about the red light music but it does not matter what we are going to tell you about it. And do you know why? Because whatever we say about the great red light music, it will still remain something huge- a whole era which existed in the last decades of the previous century.

However, we should not idealize the red music also. For example, it would be stupid if we told that it is still popular nowadays. The truth is that it used to be popular but now there are new styles of music such as RnB, rap and of course there are new singers which are popular also- those are Rihanna, Chris Brown, Jay-Z and even teenagers like Hannah Montanah. Of course I will not say anything bad about that sort of music because it is considered to be the most popular one. And as there are so many people who like it- then there is something good, something nice about it!

But let’s get back to the red light music. Do you remember when its peak was? Of course you do not, especially if you are a teenager, just because you were not born yet. However, I am going to inform you right now- basically, the red light music was most popular at the end of the 80ies and at the beginning of the 90ies. Unfortunately, it was not popular all over the world but just in the United States and that is why we can give it as an example of the typical American culture and the American social changes!

There is something which I would like to share with you, just because it will make nostalgic those of you who love to think about the past times. But if you are younger, you should also read it because those several sentences will make you aware of a whole era’s existence! So take a look at those words: “I have always been a fan of the red light music. I remember saving money for cassettes so that I could listen to my favorite singers’ songs. All my friends and I got together at somebody’s home, we listened to the music and were silent. I am sure that that will stay in my reminiscences until I die.”

You are astounded, aren’t you? Fortunately, there is something which you can- find one of the old cassettes which you used to buy and let it play- I am sure you will still enjoy it. And do you know why? Because nothing has changed- who cares that it is not popular any more?! It is still great!
