Cleaning Kitchen Cabinets

Upgrading your kitchen goes a long way in improving the space factor, cooking comfort and interests and enhancing the overall look! Fixing appropriate kitchen cabinets takes care of all the three. Making provisions for cooking space, washing sink and storage in the same place, kitchen cabinets give a more organized look for the kitchen. They also make space for other necessities like bar stools, breakfast bar, etc. When everything is arranged in a place and the cooking and washing arrangements are made according to the height and comfort of the person, cooking becomes more of fun and ease!

However the whole thing doesn’t end with installing cabinets. Maintaining them is highly mandatory for you to retain the look of your kitchen, ensure durability and save money ultimately! Thus it is essential that kitchen cabinets are cleaned on a regular basis. Cleaning kitchen cabinets is quite a simple process. While a cleaning soap or a detergent is more than enough for the ordinary cleaning routine, when the cabinets get subjected to heavy stains such as oil that may be reflected upon in the long run, you do have to buy special solutions only which can get rid of the complicated stains. These include orange oil, vinegar, etc.

There are many factors that need to be taken into consideration when cleaning kitchen cabinets. The stain has to be removed along with any lingering smell and at the same time there should not be any harm to the surface and paint or color of the cabinets as well. First, wash the entire exterior surface with soap. Do not apply more of soap as you will have to run down a large amount of water to get rid of the foam!

To remove wax and other unusual stains, a wood cleaner may prove helpful. However there will be some set of instructions specified on the cabinet manufacturer’s manual. Do tend to follow them even while you apply normal cleaning procedure! It is important that you make sure to clean the handle as well. Even the tiniest part of the handle that connects it to the cabinet will stand out from the shining clean surface behind. Vinegar, water and lemon juice mixture is a good combination for cleaning handles.

Apply wood polish to take back the years that has been added off to the look of the cabinet. Using cleansers like orange oil will leave a strong and appealing smell!
