Kitchen Cabinets Bath

Kitchen cabinets are a necessity. They have this indispensable purpose and given the fact that they are not only useful but add to the aesthetics of the kitchen make them very important. White is a great color choice for kitchen cabinets, but for something like a condo and not really a family home- at least in the words of a mom. With kids running around the house and making all kinds of messes, the white would soon get tainted. That’s why darker shades are sometimes adored, not only because they are sophisticated in their own way, but they also don’t reveal stains easily.

Kitchen cabinet designs are very many and they are determined by the overall décor a homeowner has chosen for their kitchen. The designs are very much varied, from the homely country cottage, to the new-age luxury styles that are relatively expensive to pull off. Appliances can be built-in (most of the time) or free standing (almost always the refrigerator). For a uniform cabinetry, the appliances are concealed behind unit doors. There are times when the visual break is needed and this is when the appliances are left exposed.

The kitchen is not the only room in the house that enjoys the luxury that cabinets have to offer. The bathroom has some as well. Sure, bath cabinets are not that defined, and not as many, but they serve the same purpose. Bath cabinet is useful in containing clutter in the bathroom. They can store anything from additional boxes of toothpaste to medicine. Usually when they are located just on top of the bathroom vanity, they usually have mirror doors, to create a win-win situation since vanities always need mirrors.

Bath cabinets are made from the same material as kitchen cabinets. However, they do need to be moisture resistant. With the streaming hot water in the bathroom, exposed cabinets can be degraded by all the moisture and loose their strength in a short time. Most of the companies that offer kitchen cabinets offer bathroom cabinets as well. That saves you an additional trip to the store since you can order both in one visit. It’s important to know that the decor rules apply to bath cabinets as well- it has to reflect the overall design of the bathroom. Having a rustic cabinet in a modern bathroom does not exactly work out, and sadly that’s a relationship you have to break up.
