Though most of the people are aware of the fact that using plastic money i.e. credit cards is the easiest way to cut down the expenses, they do not really understand the type of card they should be using for travel purposes. Most of them believe that a personal credit card would be sufficient for traveling. And there are some people who know the importance of using a business card but do not know which business card would suit their travel to give them the maximum benefits. The first card type of card is the Bank cards which can be exclusively used for airline travel purposes. There are generally two types of bank cards which include Bank-buys cards and airline affiliated cards. There are specific advantages in using each type. If you go with the airline affiliated cards, it is exclusively suited for corporate businessmen who are always busy with overseas travel. However if your business trips are within the country then it would be suitable if you use the second type. The advantage of both these cards is that you earn credit points for each travel which can be redeemed after a certain limit set by the bankers. These can be redeemed either in the form of cash or a travel ticket.

The second card type is the Travel and Entertainment Cards (T&E cards). The two card types in the T&E cards are the American Express and the Diners Club. Both of these card types are not exactly credit cards though they have some similarities. In the T&E type you have the benefit of unlimited shopping but you will have to pay the entire sum when it is due unlike the normal bank cards. However Travel and Entertainment Cards have their own unique advantages like the reward points quite similar to the credit points.

The above mentioned card types are best suited for business travels. However there are two other card types which can give you the same benefits as that of the Bank cards or the Travel and Entertainment cards. They are the Universal Air Travel Plan Cards or the UATP cards and the Debit Cards or the ATM cards. The former can be preferred over debit cards in case you are making any overseas travels.
