Get Prepaid Credit Card
Credit cards are common- they have been around longer than most of us can remember-but prepaid credit cards are the new and upcoming. Prepaid credit cards are like the traditional ones, only that the amount spent is usually paid for upfront, much like debit cards tied to checking accounts. They have been the credit card of choice for the people with bad credit. It is very hard for someone to get approved for a credit card when their credit score is very low. Unless you go for a secured credit card, the only other option available is to go for a prepaid credit card.
It’s almost impossible to get disapproved when applying for this card. That’s because your credit history is not considered. There are two types of prepaid credit cards. The first is the one that you could use regularly, while the other is for one time use only. Depending on the kind of need that you have, any of these is just as good.
To get this kind of card, you first of all need to open an account, and make the deposit equivalent to what you think is sufficient. Banks usually set the maximum and minimum accounts that you can deposit, which gives you a comfortable range to choose from. Once that is complete, you are handed your card, which you can use like the conventional credit card. You can book tickets, pay for supplies, rent cars using the credit card without having any trouble at all. There are the rare times when these cards are not accepted. That’s because of the risk involved- for instance with monthly subscriptions. When it comes to the part of making the payments, the credit card may be without funds.
The best part about these cards is that you can use them as much as you want, without risking debt. That’s because you spend the money you have-meaning an overdraft is impossible. It’s a great way of avoiding debt, especially when you know you are a constant spender.
There are a couple of downsides to the prepaid credit cards. For starters you have to pay a fee when you open the account. In addition, every time you make a deposit, some fee is taken. If you can live with that, then you are encouraged to get these cards. You can easily obtain them online, though you need to be cautious when it comes to this, as usual.
