* The bank will therefore send the credit card transaction information and the needed response to payment gateway. Incase of payment approval, the bank can now deposit the funds on the account of the merchant on the specified time.

* It is the payment merchant gateway that will send the details of the transaction and the response back to the online store belonging to the merchant.

* The payment details will be displayed to the customer. This information will either be displaying acceptance info or denial information.

A transaction fee is charged. This amount depends on the kind of gateway used, credit card type and the merchant account.
