Providian Credit Card Payment
Providian credit cards had taken the market by storm in the 1980s when they first came into operation due to their flexibility and acceptance of people with very bad credit ratings who were normally turned away from other credit card service providers. The company however ran into legal troubles with the law after it was accused of unfair business practices and after a long court battle was latter sold to Washington mutual who decided to retain its name while continuing to provide the services as it had earlier been set up to do.

The transition in the Providian credit card accounts holders did not stop at Washington Mutual, instead the Washington Mutual was further embroiled in financial problems that letter led to the failure of Washington Mutual and its subsequent sale to JPMorgan Chase at an amount of $1.9 billion in September 2008. This therefore meant that the Providian credit card account holders once again changed hands to the latest owner this time being JPMorgan Chase.
Looking at the numerous transitions that have taken place since the year 2005 when Providian credit card was first sold. It is important to note that all members who have Providian credit cards should try to update their profiles with the new credit card service providers to enable the smooth management of their accounts. This can be done by going online at Chase.com and using the login user ID and password that you used at Washington Mutual to get to your profile an update it accordingly. This should not take you anytime and it is free of charge. Among the information that you will need to update include the email address, your current address and the phone contact numbers. Given that this information should already be in the system, it is important to take a look and make any changes if necessary.
