Availability in modern designs and durability are two advantages of the halogen quartz light. The halogen quartz light has different mechanisms compared to other bulbs. To start with, they have, like other bulbs, tungsten filaments. Nevertheless, unlike incandescent lights that cover tungsten with bubble like envelope, the filaments of the halogen quartz light are within small quartz envelops.

Inside these small quartz envelopes is the halogen - a different gas from the usual incandescent lights. The gas halogen mixes with the vapor that comes from the filaments. The vapor comes as the tungsten heats and when the heat is high and the halogen gas reacts with the atoms of the vapor and helps cool the heat by replacing them on the filaments. This recycling process lengthens the life spans of the bulbs and it also helps to give more brightness with a unit of power.

Another important factor you have to keep in mind when using the halogen quartz light is its overpowering heat. This happens, as the process of halogen produce more heat than the normal bulb. The other thing is the filament of the halogen quartz light is very close to the outer cover of the bulb. You know by experience, you cannot touch a normal bulb when it is lighting, or when it has just burned out because of the heat. The heat of the halogen quartz bulb is much hotter than this. It is extremely dangerous to touch this type of bulbs, as it can explode due to the moisture in your hand. Therefore, you have to keep in mind not to touch the halogen quarts bulbs with your bear hands.

Even though this risk is with halogen lights, people use them, as they give intense brightness. They are very small too. The automobile industry uses halogen quartz light for headlights and scientists for research activities. Nevertheless, people also make use of them for interior usage. Modern architectural designs are mostly catered to use some halogen quartz lights as well. Their unusual shapes and extra brightness help architectures to show their creativity in the trade. The halogen quartz light is more expensive than other bulbs. Nevertheless, people ignore cost and use them, as they need less energy and have long life spans. You rarely replace halogen quartz light.
