Bathroom Plumbing Rough

When a new bathroom is being built or an old one is being renovated there are some standards that need to be met when bathroom plumbing rough is performed. This can be quite challenging but if proper procedures are followed for bathroom plumbing rough you can easily get the plumbing done in a bathroom.

When bathroom plumbing rough is performed on the toilet 12 inches must be measured from a finished wall which goes right to the toilet center. The flange needs to be secured to the floor with the use of stainless steel screws 3 inches in length. The elbow can then be connected to the flange on the floor. The elbow must have an angle of ninety degrees and a diameter of 3 inches. A vent needs to be placed within the flange of 5 inches at least. The vent requires a diameter of around one and half inches. A cleanout can be considered for the toilet incase it is being installed on a concrete floor. The stink stack can be placed in the cellar or crawlspace. There should be a cold water supply installed which is around nine and a quarter inches to the floor. There should be a space of around 6 inches where the supply of cold water can be placed to the toilet’s left side. The diameter fitted to include compression must be 3/8 inches in size.

Once the floor has been constructed the drain can then be built in so that it is from the sink’s center and has around eighteen inches to the floor. A waste pipe in the length of 1 ¼ inches should be installed. This can be done using a hub and a slip joint adaptor which is one and half inches in size. The adaptor will then be placed in such a way that the tail piece is seen at the sink’s bottom end. A vent or a pipe can be placed at the back of the sink. A sanitary tee can be made use of to attach the sink’s waste to the pipe. There must be a cleanout included below and this can be done using a union p-trap or slip joint adaptor. Hot and cold water supplies can be added and ensure that these are placed on the centerline of the sink. The compression fittings must be of 3/8 inches in size and it should be at least 21 inches towards the floor.
