Term “Flat Pack” is a term used for “ready to assemble” type of furniture. It is a type of furniture that is available in more than one piece and requires assembly. This type of furniture is available in the form of kits, which contains different parts of a wooden device say a cabinet along with the screws and fixtures for re-assembly.

Term “Flat pack kitchen” is used for a type of kitchen in which all the wooden stuff/furniture e.g. cabinets, drawers, bench tops, end panels, oven cabinets, pantry cabinets etc are bought in the form of multiple pieces and then assembled and fixed to make them useable.

Flat pack kitchens are nowadays very popular because of different reasons, first of all it’s very cheap because storage of bulky equipment is not required also assembly of different products (e.g. cabinets) is very easy and one does not need to hire a carpenter or labor to do that.

Flat pack kitchen stuff comes in a box along with a helping book that contains instructions for the customer to follow in order to assemble and fix the furniture for the particular kitchen; experiences have shown that a single man without any experience can assemble the parts without any difficulty in a very short span of time.

Flat pack kitchens are dominating conventional methods of kitchen designing day by day because of their attractive features, a lot of companies are now making furniture in parts for their customer to assemble it and the major advantage is the cost of delivery, delivering compact and unassembled parts is far easier as compared to complex shaped assembled furniture.
