Kitchen And Bath Design

Most home decor companies that design baths will also be the kitchen designers. There is little similarity between these two facilities of the home, but perhaps looking at them in matters of suitability, one is as good as the other for we cannot do without either. While it is true that the kitchen is the heart of the home, the bathroom and the bath come in a close second. They are two most common areas that every member of the family must go to. Kitchen design is fairly easy. You fit what can into the available space. For example, it would be absurd to install a big island kitchen design in a space that is best suited to the small size circular kitchen.

A good kitchen design should incorporate the floor, where vinyl tiles are recommended while the walls would require a touch of paint or ceramic wall tiles too. Make sure they are food themed. For example, there are tiles that have miniature pictures of utensils or steaming cups of coffee. For the windows, you can get those bamboo blinds that are simply chic and cool. They should accent the walls in their color.

For the bath design, this might be a bit more complex than even the kitchen. This is where you will require a touch of expertise because you must have a bath that will not only serve as a place to perform your daily ablutions, but will also be a place of serenity and cleanliness. Think about the vanities and the size that they should come in. Will you want the wall mounted vanities or the ones that are mounted onto pedestals? The choice is yours. Get colored fixtures that either match with the walls and the tiles, or contrast to give the room an aesthetic feeling. Get the right tub that will fit in and consume less space. Ensure that the floor is made of non-slippery material because soapy water is bound to run over, and this might be detrimental

If you are designing the bathroom to be used by all members of the family, then the least you can do is to install about two or three vanities side by side so that they can be used concurrently. Space them a little to avoid that crowded up feeling. Install mirrors on the wall so that they can reflect each other’s images, thus giving the bathroom a feeling of space.
