In our home Kitchen is a room dedicated primarily for cooking purposes. Many people do not have large kitchen rooms. Instead they have tiny kitchens but they also want them to look big. Off course it is possible but only through proper and selective interior design. Few ideas that you can implement in making your kitchen look big are:

Always keep your kitchen neat and clean and keep everything in its place. If everything is all over the place in your kitchen it can give a congested look to it.

Try to leave out some space at the centre of the kitchen like an island in the sea. You will feel openness about your kitchen because it can give you space while you are cooking and moving around in your kitchen.

If the current arrangement of things does not impress you one bit, then change the arrangement in the best possible way you can. Because when everything will be according to your liking you will feel better about your kitchen.

Instead of cabinets with doors try to use shelves, pots and other things to keep your utensils and other things. If you still want to use cabinets then use them with glass doors.

Also insert cabinets with sliding doors instead of having swinging doors.

Insert cupboards inside the walls instead of extending out of the walls and also keep things organized in your cupboards. This will also free up space.

Use light colors in your kitchen which will give it a cooler look and it will appear more open than what actually what it will be.

If your kitchen is somewhere in a corner of your house then keeps the kitchen windows open, as darkness always gives impression of congestion.

A full size dining table may eat up a lot of space. So instead of using a large table you should use a small dining table for eating purposes having no more than 4 sitting chairs.

Also use a large sink in the kitchen. It will also give it a bigger look.

Do not keep dirty pans, cups and other utensils in your kitchen. Wash them as quickly as possible. It will also to enhance overall impression of your kitchen.

Usage of wall space can also be helpful. You can hang your utensils, pans, pots and other crockery on hooks and nails. Remove the appliances from your kitchen that you use once in a while.
