Kids’ Fitness Equipment

Kids’ fitness equipment can be somewhat expensive in these current economic times. This should not be an excuse for any parent who dreams of good health for their small ones. You don’t have to be stinking rich to achieve this. There are several home made tips that can help one to come up with an effective fitness equipment for their children. You can choose to equip your child’s playroom with toy balls, skipping ropes which are less costly and less time consuming. You can start these tips by recycling and even repurposing everyday household items to turn them into free kids' fitness equipment. This will not only work out for your kids, but also for you too. Do not despair because you kid cannot afford the necessary fitness equipment in the market. Just improvise and you will be amazed.

Here are some of the recyclables that you can use to make kids fitness equipment:

* Water bottle hand weights; We buy water, bottled soda or other bottled drinks all the time; you can decide to reuse these bottles to create some hand friendly weights for your kids. All you need to do is to stuff them with soil, water or even beads to create some weight. This exercise is good for muscles around the hands. You should however, remember to vary the contents to acquire the desired weight levels.

* You can also use balance beams- This can be done in a number of ways. You can do this by placing a painted tape on the floor but in a straight line and ask the kid to try walking on the tape. You can also do this by using a walking frame.

* Indoor soccer balls- You can do this by simply placing two strings, frames or polls on two sides of a room, tie used mosquito nets or bed sheets around them to form a goal liked structure and allow the kids to play and score.

* Solo volleyball stretch- This is quite simple; just tie a string a cross the room or use two chairs and tie a string across. The kids can use a balloon or a toy to play on opposite side of the room.

There are many more ways in which you can improvise kid’s fitness equipment without having to dig much into you strained pocket. So the next time you spot those recyclables in a dustbin or in your store, think of them as the next big thing in your kid’s playroom court.
