Most homes have a shower and a bathtub combination; and rarely do contractors have to ask the question as to the kind of faucets and fixtures, but so as to be sure especially in the case where the home has more than one bathroom, make sure you know the exact fixtures you want to put. If you may be a contractor, you want to have the interests of your clients at heart. There are those bathrooms that have just a bathtub; those that have just a shower, and those that have both a bathtub and a shower, but which have been installed separately. All these will depend on the space in the bathrooms, as a separate bathtub and shower is only possible in a large bathroom. Make sure you are clear about the position of the toilet; whether it will be in the bathroom on if it will be in a separate room altogether.

You will have to make a decision as to the type of sink and if it will come with a vanity. The size of the sink will depend on the size of the bathroom, and so will the color of it. Its color will have to blend in with the general color scheme of the bathroom for best results. You can put up two sinks for a large bathroom to serve the large number of people. Put the sink in a corner to save on space.

The style of the faucet is just as important; if you are remodeling, the new ones will have to fit into the spaces which are left by the old fixtures and especially the plumbing. It is a good idea to stick with the old arrangement of fixtures in the bathroom so as not to have to change the plumbing in the process. If you plan to repaint the wall in your bathroom, use light and cool colors to improve the ambience of the bathroom.
