Wall Mounted Bathroom Mirrors
Bathroom mirrors can completely transform the look of your bathroom. These mirrors come in different styles and sizes. When choosing a bathroom mirror you have to consider the size and type of your bathroom. Cost and personal preferences are other factors that will determine the mirror you acquire. A mirror that pleases you while serving its purpose if of course the best mirror to acquire.
A wall mirror can be circular, rectangular or even oval. When selection the place to mount the mirror, select a place where there is light that can be reflected by the mirror. The light can be natural or electric lighting. They should also be mounted at a height where the users are comfortably able to use them. Used with proper lighting, mirrors can give your bathroom a very stylish look. When shopping for bathroom mirrors, look out for the new types of mirrors that have beautiful border designs that will give your bathroom a cool look.
The following few tips will help you when mounting a wall mirror in your bathroom.
a) Weight
When mounting a bathroom mirror you must consider it weight. Heavy mirrors will require more or bigger screws to hold them well against the wall. You can know the weigh of your mirror by placing it on the weighing scales or you can stand on the scales while holding the mirror and take the weight.
b) Hooks and Screws
There are hooks and screws in the market that support different weights. Be sure to get hooks or screws that can support the weight of your bathroom mirror. It is advisable to get an extra screw or hook for the mirror for extra support.
c) Appropriate Space
Spot the most appropriate space on the wall where you intend to mount the mirror. The height should be one that can be reached comfortably by the mirror users. If possible, first mark the points where the border screws go in plus the border lines and drill the holes if need be. This helps to make sure the mirror is properly aligned.
d) Mounting
Now mount the wall mirror and tightly fix the hooks. If you are using screws, make sure they are properly fastened. If you are mounting the smaller mirrors that need only glue, make sure you have applied enough glue to hold it well on the wall.
Finally ensure that the mirror is straight and properly in place. If your mirror is dirty, wipe it using a soft cloth.
