Bathroom Shower Cubicles

This task can be easy or hard depending on the way that you look at it. It matters not whether the shower cubicle will feature the manual or the automatic shower mixer because the steps to follow are basically the same. Before you decide where the bathroom shower cubicles will be, you need to first think of where the shower stands will be, as well as where the main water supply pipes for the bathroom are. Mostly showers will get their water supplies from an elevated storage tank in the house to increase the water pressure. The recommended height for this water supply tank should be at least 1.5 meters from the ground or higher up.

The first thing that you should do after determining where the shower head and pipe will stand is to fix the shower tray right in that position. The shower tray comes with an outlet hole that is connected to the entire bathroom drainage system that will drain the water out as people use the shower. It is available in many varieties-cheap or expensive. There is the ceramic variety, the metal ones as well as others that are made of fiber glass. Choice depends on the owner. Although the shower tray is designed to drain water on its own, because it is slightly slanted on one side, tilt it a little to be double sure that no water remains standing in the tray. Where the tray meets with wall, remove a section of the wall to make sure that the edge of the basin is tightly held in the wall. Then apply the appropriate sealant to prevent water from getting in the wall.

Fix the shower head by following the manufacturer’s fitting manual. Be sure that the shower head points directly and vertically to the shower tray unless it is of course the flexible variety. For this task, you might need some simple plumbing tools like the pipe wrench to tighten the shower head into place. It would be wise to tie up the gripping edge of the pliers with a piece of cloth to prevent damage to the shower head. After that, install the shower screen according to the specifications of your bathroom. This can be done by fitting it in to pre-drilled hole; it is recommended that you have two on one wall. That means that one should be near the floor and the other one higher up. Do the same for the other wall and then get the tiling done with water proof cement to protect the floor.
