Living in the tropics can sometimes be a lot of fn especially due to the fact that the sun is always visible in all of the 365 days of the year. It is therefore not strange to find people living in the tropics such as some countries in Africa having permanent outdoor tables and chair or should I just say furniture where they constantly take rests during the day including the mid day meals among other joint family activities. There are simple board games such as chase or cards that people enjoy playing under the shades of trees during the day when the sun is hot. Playing such games under the trees requires the use of outdoor table and chairs. In some parts f the tropical Africa, people simply construct permanent seats and wooden tables under trees which are used for these kinds of activities.

In some parts of the world however, people have different versions of outdoor tables. The use of outdoor tables is quite common especially for activities such as camping or gatherings that are held n the open grounds. Most outdoor tables should be easily portable to make it easy to move them from one place to the next whenever necessary. The designers of the tables should also take durability strength and stability into consideration when making such tables given that such outdoor furniture may be subjected to rough treatment due to the conditions prevailing at the events.

The materials that are used to make outdoor tables are also variable depending on the materials that are locally available n different regions. In areas with lots of mangrove and wood, bamboo or reeds can be used to make outdoor tables. This is because these materials can be adequately treated to make them water resistant, which is one of the important factors that should be taken into consideration when making outdoor furniture. Other materials that can make good outdoor tables are plastic and pother artificial or synthetic fibers. This is mainly because such materials are comparatively cheap and can thus be readily available in different parts of the world. Their water proof capabilities also make them quite favorable because outdoor tables can be exposed to rain and other extreme weather conditions such as snow.

Besides the materials used, it is also advisable that the design of the outdoor tables should be easy to fold and to store in limited space as this can make them possible e to transport and to store when not in use. Some of the outdoor tables are made in designs that can be dismantled and fitted back together at the user's convenience.
