For one the appliances would need to last longer and be more industrial. Therefore, you have the option of buying an industrial gas oven. An industrial gas oven is made from stainless steel. This metal tends to last longer and is easier to clean.

After each use of your oven in a restaurant it will need to be cleaned. In other words each night you will have to turn the oven off, let it cool down, and then clean it, both inside and out. The typical industrial gas oven is not part of the range. You will have a cook top like a grill and then a separate cook top with burners. The industrial gas oven is then another appliance. The oven is by itself. There are a couple of types of gas ovens for restaurants. You have the front loading with double doors. The doors open out so that you can stand close to check on the food you are cooking. They are also glass doors to help you see the food.

The typical industrial gas oven offers you three to four racks. It can be mounted on the wall or on top of a storage cabinet. This allows you to see in the oven at eye level. Another type of industrial gas oven will be the floor to ceiling type. These are often bread ovens, in which you have multiple racks to cook many loaves of bread. These stoves can also be used for other foods like cookies.

The industrial gas oven is manufactured by some of the same residential gas oven manufacturers. Amana, LG, GE, Whirlpool and others have industrial lines. These ovens are more expensive than your home oven. This is because they are meant to last for several years, operate with ease, and produce more baked goods in a year than your residential oven may see in a lifetime.
