Desa manufactures different types of propane heaters.  They manufacture heaters for both indoor and outdoor use.  Some of the more popular Desa heaters are the Desa propane heater, propane space heaters, patio heaters, and others. 

Desa propane heaters will easily heat a 300 - 600 sq. foot space.  They come equipped with thermostats, electronic ignition, and blower fan.  Desa propane heaters work without electricity, which is great when the power is out.  They are easy to install and require very little tools.  Desa propane heaters are vent free, and come with low oxygen shut off sensor that will turn the units off if it detects a problem.   

Desa propane heaters generally require a 100 lb propane tank for some of their larger heaters, but manufacture smaller heaters that can use 20 lb propane tanks as well.  If you were to use a larger propane tank, the fuel would last longer and you would not have to worry about refills quite as often as you would if you were to use a 20 lb tank. 

Desa propane heaters can be wall mounted or stand free on the floor.  They have a safety pilot system, top mounted controls, and have two settings for hi or low.  Desa propane heaters use blue flame heat instead of red flame.  If your room does not have as much insulation as you need to stay warm, the blue flame heat will heat the air in your room.  Your ceiling needs to be approximately eight feet high in the room.   

There is no electricity required for some of the Desa propane heaters, which make them perfect for heating screened porches, icehouses, lodges, and cabins or tents.  When you purchase one of Desa’s propane heaters, you can hook it up immediately for use.  Desa’s propane heaters are vent free and can be run on a 20 lb propane tank or use it with an existing tank you already use in your home.  They come with everything you need to get started.   

If you are looking for a traditional propane heater for your patio, Desa manufactures those as well.  They have a large base that can hide your 20 lb propane tank when you are using your heater outside when the air is not as warm as you would like it to be.  Desa patio propane heaters radiate the heat in a circular shape so sitting close to one will keep you warm.
