Liquid Propane Heater

Most of you probably associate the propane heaters with a kind of heater which is installed on the wall and gets propane gas so that it can produce electricity. Of course, that is absolutely true but there is also another kind of propane heaters which are often called “portable propane heaters”.

Their structure is not very different from the vented propane heaters’ structure. However, the portable (or known also as “liquid”) propane heaters usually have a tank in which the propane is stored. Of course that tank is connected with the heater and this way the liquid could be easily used for heating.

Did you catch the difference? The vented heaters also use propane but the gas “reaches” the machine as it goes through tubes whereas the liquid propane heater is not connected with any tubes. And that makes it 100% portable. That kind of heaters is perfect when the electricity is down or for heating places in which there is no electricity such as camping for example.

And right now you are probably wondering what the volume of the tanks is and how much time the heater could work without refueling. Well, the answer will probably satisfy you- most of the liquid propane haters’ tanks can store propane which is enough for 1 day (24 hours).

And you are also probably asking yourself the question what happens if there is something wrong with the heater. Could it become dangerous? And that is probably the best part- the liquid propane heaters are probably the safest kind of heater you could possible find on the market. Firstly, they automatically switch off if someone overturns it or even if somebody hits it. It looks like a very smart heater, doesn’t it? And if you worry about the propane, there is really nothing which should concern you. Even if there is a problem with the propane (which is almost impossible) and it starts flowing off, nothing will happen. You think that I am crazy, don’t you? It is so simple- even if the propane flows off it will not harm you because it is in a very small amount. Furthermore, the fuel is liquid propane which is not dangerous because it spills; it does not vaporize! The propane is dangerous when it is gas in the air because it spreads everywhere and “invades” your lungs!

Hopefully, you already understand how convenient the liquid propane heaters could be, especially if your electricity system is often down.
