Spectrum Of Light

When light has to be defined on the ground of full spectrum, it simply means the combination of all colors in the magnetic spectrum. There are seven known lights which appear the spectrum of light, namely red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet in their order of wavelengths. Other color occurrences are as a result of combinations in one or more of the above colors. The visible light or otherwise called the white light is the holder of this seven blends. It is found amid UV light and IR light in the magnetic spectrum. The normal light you see every day has a combination of colors; black is generally not defined as a color when it comes to the scientific light spectrum. However, it still can be generated by special interference of the original colors.

When it comes to application of color spectrums, the expression spectrum of light will vary from company to company. As much as all manufacturers define the same phenomenon, notable differences can be distinguished in products claiming to have full spectrum. Commercially, the definition of full spectrum is achieved if the light shined qualifies the 90 pass mark of the Color rendering Index. Basically, the color index serves as a gauge that identifies colors in the natural-light reproduction industry. The estimate can also be determined by temperature evaluation. The Kelvin color scale will recognize any light source of about 5000K as natural light.

Light spectrum recreation is helpful in drawing arts. Depending on the color temperature, a cool color will mean temperate and brighter colors. Warm colors are kind of darker. Different levels of illuminations provide varied scenery to the displayed drawings. It is also used by researchers to illuminate spaces where the natural light is inaccessible, especially during night undertakings. In the medical scenes, the light spectrum has been found as a remedy for seasonal illnesses. For example, there are some diseases that are prone to the winter seasons when there is limited sunlight. In this treatment, there is the construction of a safe house or a structure resembling a cell that confines the patient during the period to a specially lit space.

The spectrum of light can be separated under special conditions to display only one light. For example, inert gases allow only one type of wavelength to go through them. Using an appropriate gas in the tubing will present single colored bulbs.
