A kitchen decorated in country style can make it look warm and cozy. In designing a country kitchen you will need to use vintage and natural materials to highlight the casual side of country. Visit a flea market, estate sale and yard sale to pick things for decorating a country styled kitchen. Pick things that remind you of country culture. For instance, you may or may not use the old butter urn for churning butter instead it can be placed near the back door for holding umbrellas or to store onions and potatoes, grains or even cereals. Try to use the various items in many different ways. Say for example a wide and a tall wooden frame can be painted with some bright color and painted with screws and hooks and used for hanging mugs, ladle and some utensils.

As long as the walls have neutral colors and can be associated with country style, it is fine. Apple green, pale blue, yellow and green are common country kitchen colors.

The color red can be used to accentuate any country kitchen. Red apples can be used to fill baskets to be set on the table. For curtains and cushions you could either use stripped material or fruit designs. Display some bright-colored urns and pots on the cabinet to make the kitchen look vibrate. If you have cabinets with closed doors unscrew some of the cabinet doors.
