Led Marker Lights

LED marker lights are becoming popular as of recently but they have been in the business of lighting for quite some time now. The following are some of the key facts relating to LED lighting:

1. LED lighting was first invented in the 1960s but was later reinvented for residential purpose by Nichia in 1993.

2. These LED lights are basically very small in size but if grouped together can create a bigger impact.

3. The efficacy of LED is basically 20 lumens per watt but it can also go upto 100 lumens per watt under specific conditions.

4. These LED lights are more effective if used for concentrating on a particular spot or region like the torch lights and unlike the bulbs or tube lights.

5. These bulbs could be used in staircases, hallways, etc.

6. The other places where an LED light could be used are on reading tables, recessed cans, night lights, pendants, etc.

7. LEDs do not emit heat like its counterparts and are more long lasting when used alone instead of combinations.

8. One can find out if the LED light is dying out or not by looking at the lights. These lights emit considerably less light towards the end of its life and do not go bust all of a sudden.

9. They are more thermal and vibration resistant and are not hugely affected by the constant switching on or off.

10. The disadvantage though is its cost. It is mainly because of the few manufacturers around for LED lights.

11. The LED lights life is within the range of three to five years. The longevity of the bulb also depends on the usage of the bulb.

12. These lights are less energy consuming. So one can be rest assured that there is going to be very less contribution to the rise of your electricity bills by the LED bulb.

13. These LED bulbs can last upto fifty thousand working hours.

14. As there is no ultraviolet or infrared radiation, you would find very less insects kissing or hugging on to the bulb.

15. These bulbs do not get hot and remain cool even after continuous usage because of the zero mercury content.

16. The body of the LED bulb does not get affected or look dark after continuous usage.

17. The other disadvantage of LEDs is that they are slightly expensive and are not easily available as the other lights are.
