If you have ever noticed those cool looking tail lights on the car in front of you and wondered what they did to get that look, they are rear LED lights. They are custom tail lights that look great and add a unique look to the vehicle. Factory tail lights are ho hum and look like everyone else’s, adding LED lights will make you stand out and get your vehicle noticed.

Changing out your tail lights will be a quick and inexpensive way to add a custom look without paying a custom price. There are numerous choices so you may have to do a little homework to find the style that suits you and your vehicle, however, knowing a few simple facts will make the process easier.

When choosing the color it is important to remember that whatever choice you make should be legal. Take into consideration the color of your vehicle and match the light that will compliment the color as opposed to appear offset or simply thrown in. The color of your taillight cover will also affect what the bulb will look like. When possible ask the clerk where you are shopping if they have some display models for you to review in order for you to get a better ideal of what the overall effect will be.

Also keep in mind any other lights you currently have or will be putting on the vehicle. They should all be a pulled together planned look. If you have headlights that are a certain shade of white, it is best to get the same shade of white for the rear lights. The same applies to other parts of the vehicle as well, for example if you have purple strip lights under the vehicle then you is not going to want a bluish color tail light. The outside lights should also go with your interior lights.

If you are starting from scratch try to purchase all of the lights from the same manufacture so you will be sure that if the color you choose is bluish white then all of the bluish white lights you purchase will have the same degree of color. Rear LED lights can be purchased from most automotive retail stores and often times if they do not have all of the lights you are searching for they will be able to either order them or give you a location to purchase the same manufactures style.
