Medical Dental Equipments

A dentist office requires a lot of medical and dental pieces of equipment. The dentists chair is the most predominant piece of visible equipment and should be not only comfortable but also have easy access to the client whom it is designed to use. There are many other large pieces of equipment as well including x-ray machines which can be extremely expensive to purchase making a lease option very appealing to many dentists.

When dental equipment is leased they will come with regularly scheduled maintained visits and insurance to cover any damages to the machine. Other advantages with leasing include upgrading when a newer model becomes available with little or no out of pocket cost. When making the decision to lease any dental equipment it is important to determine that the leasing company chosen has the newest and latest models of technology. Having new equipment with very little precious lease history will ensure the product to last for several years without a replacement.

If all pieces of equipment can be leased through the same rental company it will be less expensive in regards to monthly payments as well as require fewer technicians in and out of the office for scheduled maintenance calls. The leasing company should be able to provide the dental office with references of previous customer service. They should also be available for a service call when needed, for example if you have an emergency x ray scheduled on a Saturday afternoon and the machine goes array, there should be someone available for repairs.

Contact several leasing companies that carry the equipment needed and compare costs. There will be some that charge for small details that another at a slightly higher price may not charge for. An example would be paying company b five extra dollars a month because they have included in their contract to do no charge maintained visits, no delivery charge, or will include a specific amount of x ray films for the machine free of charge each month.

Once the equipment has been delivered it is extremely important that it be inspected for any damage including small surface scratches that your office could be billed for. Make note of each incident in question and photograph if in question of being blamed. The equipment should also meet all safety standards required for the individual item. Remember to verify the leasing company’s credentials as well before signing a lease for any equipment.
