For you, it is not very useful because you would otherwise have just chucked them out – all it needs a little effort in locating a suitable organization willing to take such used medical equipment and arrange for them to have it collected from you.

There are free medical clinics which are opening in various places. They are basically performing some social service to people who are economically not very well off. For such clinics, they may find doctors who are willing to work here for limited periods for free or for much lower fees but they would also need medications, drugs and medical equipment for the benefit of the patients they treat - here, the used medical equipment and drugs that people donate would come in handy. One could also check with hospitals or your local hospital social work department since many hospitals also would be keeping a stock of used medical equipment and medicines that they can hand over to patients who are not very well off, when they are getting discharged.
