Cream Leather Dining Chairs
Many like to have cream leather dining chairs for its versatility and elegance. This is because cream is considered to be a safe color and goes well with the other surrounding décor. Besides, leather many believe lasts longer as compared to other fabrics. Leather being a natural material allows air to pass through it and makes seating comfortable. Despite of this there are some who hesitate buying leather for they are not well-versed with its cleaning techniques. Here are some simple methods and ways of maintaining and cleaning cream leather dining chairs.
Before you try them it is better that you test these cleaning ideas in remote areas of the furniture like bottom of the seat, side or under the arm rest so that in case of change in color or damage it will go unnoticed.
Cleaning you leather chair weekly is necessary. You may use a vacuum cleaner to remove embedded dust and dirt; this will ensure that the chair remains fairly clean and dust-free.
For deep cleaning use a damp cloth with moisturizing soap. Rub this cloth into inaccessible areas. Finally, use another damp cloth to wipe off the soap residue.
All spills like food stuffs and liquids must be wiped immediately using a soft, clean cloth. It is important to wipe off the spill instantaneously as it would get soaked on the exterior of leather and cause stains.
Spills that are oily or greasy must not be cleaned with water. Instead wipe with a clean, dry cloth and air dry it. A mixture containing equal amount of lime juice and cream of tartar when left on the stained areas for 10 minutes will soak the leather, use some more of the mixture if required. Then with a sponge or a wet cloth containing mild moisturizing soap wipe off the surface. Lastly buff it off with a clean cloth.
There are also products that are safe and specifically designed cleaning leather. Follow the instructions careful and use them sparingly. These products contain a cleaner and a conditioner. Use the conditioner after using the cleaner to prolong the suppleness of leather.
Stick to products which are exclusively meant for leather as other cleaning products would contain ingredients that could damage leather. Products which contain solvents, oils, ammonia and polish must not be used on leather under any circumstances. Leather chairs can be cleaned easily without blotting or damaging it by using the right technique and product.
