Credit Score Reporting
Credit score reporting is the report which actually determines the risk attached with a particular person. The following are some of the key facts relating to credit score reporting:
1. A credit score actually helps the lender realise the chances of him getting back his lent amount from the borrower. A person with a bad credit score generally does not find people to lend him some money.
2. There are lots of huge financial institutions, banks, etc. which make use of these credit scores to determine whether they should be approving a loan application or not. A person with a higher credit score basically gets the loan pretty easily and a person with a poor credit score does not get a loan and if at all he gets those loans, then he would have probably got that after having gone through lot of hardships.
3. All those people who have applied for loans or who have got a credit card for themselves, have made a credit history for them. This credit history of yours is compiled by these credit reporting agencies.
4. Whenever a person applies for a loan to a bank, the bank makes use of the credit report scores and decides whether they should be lending the amount or not. So it is better for the future of every person that they maintain a good credit history for themselves.
5. These credit reporting agencies are looked up with lot of respect and trust by the lenders and one bad remark on the credit report of the borrowers can make it very difficult for the borrowers to get loans and credit cards for themselves.
6. There are people who have been giving false or wrong information to the credit rating agencies so that they get better ratings for themselves. But the problem is that they think that they can get away with such activities. According to a report in 2004, every one application of four applications contained false or wrong information.
7. These credit agencies are very strong and powerful agencies and any such unlawful activity by these borrowers would be traced by them and brought to light. And these activities also lead to a bad remark on the borrowers which ultimately results in them finding it very difficult to get loans and borrowings for themselves. So it is advisable that all must take these credit reports very seriously and must present their true picture.
