Free Credit Report Agency

A credit report is a very vital document. Many people however do not think such a document matters until they turn up at the loans application desk and they are told their loans cannot go through for one reason or another. The main reason of course being a poor credit history. Such is the time when people realize the importance of credit history reports. A credit report shows your suitability for loan facilities of mortgage services. It is a compilation of your past credit history, debt repayment payment habits as well as other vital details that are very important to any lender or employer. It is advisable to obtain the credit report at least once every year even when you are not planning to apply for credit to make sure your records are accurate and up to date.

An error in the information in these reports can cause one to be charged very high interest rates for loan or even miss out on a job vacancy. It is therefore important to check your report from time to time and make sure all errors are corrected and changing information updated.

Over and over we have seen adverts for free credit reports everywhere. Newspapers and internet are full of adverts for free credit report. The main question is, is there really anything like a free credit report or free credit report agency? You do not need to struggle to get an answer to this. Just log in to the internet and search for free credit reporting agency or anything close to it. You will get a plethora of agencies advertising their services. When you try to access any of them you will be required to register by providing your personal details like names, address and may be social security details. The tricky juncture is when you want to download your credit report. You will be shocked to be asked for your credit card details. If you provide, the next thing you realize is that some money will have been deducted for you to obtain the report. Some agencies are saying that if you are quick enough to cancel the process before the deduction is effected you can actually get the report free. This is gambling and even so I am yet to hear of someone who cancelled the process and was not charged for the report.
