John Deere equipment represents quality as an entity. Farmers all over the country make use of the farming equipment in a distinctive yellow and green. This company plays such a vital role in the field of modern agriculture.

John Deere equipment comes in various forms and range in machinery used in several agricultural applications. These include combines, tractors, wagons, balers, planters, sprayers and utility vehicles. The farming tractors with twenty four horsepower capacity are used by small farmers and landscapers. There are also tractors with an engine capacity of 500 horsepower which are used for large scale agricultural operations.

How John Deere equipment originally began is John Deere initially started working as a blacksmith. John Deere began working in Illinois by harvesting thresh farm crops He started manufacturing equipment for farming in 1837 under the name John Deere. By the year 1849, he had produced over two thousand steel plows each year which were his first farming equipment. It is now a global leader in agriculture and manufacturing. John Deere equipment has spread widely across the United States and Canada. It’s also available in countries such as Spain, Germany, Africa and Australia.

John Deere No 1 manufactures is versatile and a smaller model machinery. The No 2 is the combine harvester first manufactured in 1927. Both these versions were later replaced with a model known as the twilight version. This product was manufactured by the John Deere engineers. John Deere then began making farming equipment to level the harvest crops also known as the ‘Sidehill’. This allowed farmers to level on the slopes to nearly a fifty percent. After the Second World War a leveling system was manufactured in combination with the harvester to allow more efficiency when harvesting. It also manufactured a harvester which works with the combine machine to allow harvest crops by navigating the steep hills. The main focus of this machinery was to prevent grain from building up in only one section.

By the nineteen fifties another form of machinery was developed this time known as the Variable Speed Drive. This combine harvester was used to remove husks from the corn that lay in the field. This proved to be a self propelled machine.

John Deere has won recognition by the Farm Industry News. In the year 2008 the company was awarded an award which gave them the distinction of being the most innovative in agricultural products.
