Cu Credit

CU credit is basically a body representing the entire credit system of the country. The credit system includes the lenders, borrowers, brokers and other parties who are related to credit systems. The following are some of the key facts relating to CU credit.

1. This body ensures that fair practices of trade and transactions are maintained in credit unions.

2. This was incorporated in Canada by a special act passed by the parliament in 1953. Till now it has been doing its job in the best possible manner.

3. These credit unions are very big both in their size and operations unlike the perceptions of most of the people who are not much aware of credit unions. These credit unions are not only their in the rural areas and their credit systems are not aimed at helping out a few group of people but it is available in cities as well and is more than willing to help people from all sections of life.

4. This is basically a group of people who have come together voluntarily to attain their goals, objectives and mission.

5. These credit unions are for every community and are available for servicing almost every type of community.

6. These credit unions are not owned by a particular group or is not a property of a particular corporation but these organisations are run by the customers itself and these customers are elected through votes. So there are no chances of corruption and there is no one particular person who has his say. Everyone is equal and everyone is given equal opportunity to participate in the functioning of the body.

7. Almost thirty three percent of the population of Canada is part of these credit unions. These people belong to different age groups and come from different sections of the society. Some of the people involved in credit unions are young college and school students, old people who are closing towards the retirement age, highly professional people, grocery store owners, etc. These people might belong to different groups and might have different roles and responsibilities when they are at work but when these people come together under the umbrella of credit union, there roles and responsibilities are the same and that is nothing but working for the cause, objective and mission of the credit union. One cannot see the kind of determination and commitment of these people anywhere or among any other group of people.
