Bathroom Sinks Toilets

Bathroom sinks and toilets are the two fixtures which are most used in any bathroom. When you are remodeling or constructing a new bathroom it is important to take into account various aspects about these two fixtures and base your choice on the basis of functionality, comfort and décor, in that manner of importance.

Choice of Bathroom Sinks and Toilets will depend basically on your requirements, budget and number of people who are going to use them on a daily basis. Bathrooms in houses having lot of family members are usually shared and you must know how many people are regularly going to use the bathroom and also the age of the people using them. When there are many people using a single bathroom you would want a smaller flush for the toilet which fills up fast. The faucet of the bathroom sink will also need some controlling features which will limit the flow of water.

Bathroom Sinks and Toilets will have to be chosen according to the people’s ages. If there are lot of kids you will need the bathroom sink installed at a lower level so that small children are able to access it. The size and shape of the water closet also has to be comfortable particularly if elderly people are using it. A square designed water closet may look good with your bathroom décor but the question you have to ask is, how comfortable will it be for people using it. You might have to compromise on décor to functionality in this regard.

The choice of colors for bathroom sinks and toilets also matter in the long run. Do not choose white if the bathroom is going to be used frequently by many people as it will leave stains and is very difficult to maintain. Use darker shades or neutral colors which will not show so much use and staining.

The choice of material is a bit tricky for bathroom sinks and toilets. Although porcelain is the most obvious choice it can chipped and broken easily over a period of time if lot of people are constantly using these fixtures. The best option is metal but it may not look so good and could cost much more than porcelain. You will have to find some middle ground and make your choice here and weigh carefully how much of functionality you want to sacrifice over good décor.
