Sometimes back bathrooms were very simple facilities where people were meant to go for shower and basic biological functions only. Extra facilities were only meant for high class families and royal palaces. Modern bathroom faucets have brought have brought more luxury and convenience to our bathrooms. Their purpose is to make bathroom facilities as user friendly as possible. There are a variety of sinks made of either ceramic clays or brass coated steel. They do not jut serve the purpose of holding water while we wash our hands but are meant to bring us joy and lighten our hearts as we go about our washing business.

The toilets have changed shape from those which required squatting to those which allow users to sit comfortably and forget they are in a bathroom. The cistern sinks have evolved from large steel contain containers which served the basic purpose of holding water to modern beautiful tanks with beautiful flashing handles. The bath tub area has seen probably greater improvements than other areas. Bath tubs and basins are coming up with great designs, shapes and colors. They have changed from traditional shapes which were like ordinary basins sunken in the floors to more beautiful faucets with taps that are not just convenient to use but are beautiful too.

Taps used with the various faucets have also changed shape over the years from the traditional brown metal taps to more colorful and sometimes gold coated taps. The design of the taps have been improved to make them just not pour water out as required but pour it where it is required and how it is required. There are showers which sprinkle water while others bubble it from below the basin. Some showers pour water from the sides and in different patterns.

Traditional bathroom faucets were largely sold by hardware shops which included a variety of other building materials. Bathroom faucets industry has witnessed impressive growth both in terms of content and quality. It has become a specialized industry like many others with the manufacturers taking the bathroom design a notch higher. A bathroom would not look interesting with only beautiful cabinets or floor and wall tiling. High quality finishing in the bathroom requires corresponding high quality faucets. It is actually the faucets which make the bathroom be called so. The other fixtures are meant to supplement the use of the faucets and as such the faucets can not be left behind.
