The fixtures can be chosen to match other designs in the bathroom. Some people are very particular with their taste and will want the sink, and the fixtures to match or blend to produce their desired effect.

However, if there is a probability that you may sell your home in the future, choose something that can be easily appealing to most people. Redecorating your bathroom is expensive and so you should keep in mind that styles change with time. Choosing designs and colors just because they are the ‘in thing’ may cause the value of your home to depreciate in the future.
