Sports are a great source of entertainment as well as very good to keep you fit. It is a good recreational activity too, which is preformed in leisure time as an interest or as a hobby. Sports are an activity which gets your whole body into movement which in turn is making you active and healthy too. Nowadays as all our lifestyles revolve only around work and there is no time for leisure, which in turn makes us dull and lethargic, sports is a very good recreational activity to keep us active and fit. Outdoor recreational sports are mostly taken part as a hobby, whereas there are many others who take it up as a career and are a good source of money.

As countries have different cultures, traditions and customs, in the same way almost all the countries participate in various kinds of sports. Various sports, which are played by people all over the world, are baseball, football, basketball, tennis, cricket, hockey and many more. All the countries have different interests when it comes to sports like all other kinds. Outdoor sports as the name says, means sports, which are played in the outdoors, like baseball, badminton, rugby, cycling, mountain climbing. These sports are played in outdoor surroundings like fields, grounds or places, which are specifically designed for the purpose.

An outdoor recreational sport, which is popular world over, is cricket. People all over the world love this game. This game is either played or watched with great passion. Cricket is played between two countries or two different teams as such it is called 'team sports'. The main aim of the game is competing of the two participating teams, which are generally of two different countries. The team, which wins, is the one, which is known worldwide and praised about their team spirit.

Hockey is another game that is played as teams again. Generally played by two different countries, Hockey is again a very popular game worldwide and this is the national game of India.

Cycling is known to be one of the best recreational activities until date. The rider along with eye witnessing beautiful views also undergoes a lot of exercise for which the outcome is a healthier and fitter body. The most popular among the younger riders is 'Mountain Cycling'. Golfing, water skiing, skateboarding and many other sports as such are various very popular outdoor recreational sports.
