Propane Wood Stoves
When one is feeling cold, it feels very nice, cozy and warm to have an efficiently working propane wood stove. A propane wood stove not only helps to keep you warm, but also saves on costs, since it will bring down the electricity consumption - it also has another advantage, it becomes something like a novelty since it brings back memories of yore when similar stoves used to exist.
If you wish to go in for a new wood stove or if you wish to buy a more modern model as compared to what you have, then there are some things which you need to keep in mind, the foremost being you need to decide as to where you intend to place it - what we mean is that if there is one place you are most likely to assemble, then it makes sense to place your propane wood stove there since the maximum amount of heat will be generated around the wood stove. Usually, the most appropriate place to keep you wood stove would be either your kitchen or your living room or your dining room. You should also take pains to determine how is the air flow within your house – if you study the airflow well, then you should be able to ensure that even a solitary heater would be able to heat the entire house reasonably well.
Once you have made your decision as to where the heater should be kept, then it is better to speak to the salesmen at the store where you will be purchasing your wood heater since they will be able to guide you as to the correct size you need to invest in, since this will be directly proportionate to the size of your house. If you do not do this, then there are chances that the heater you select may not be appropriate for the size of your house.
Conversely, if you choose too big a stove, then there could be unnecessary fuel wastage and there could even be a fire if the small place heats up a lot – so in these respects, it is prudent that you make a sensible choice.
Another factor which should govern your choice of a wood stove is if it meets the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) standards - this way you will be able to ensure that wastage of fuel is kept to the minimum – such stoves will burn more cleanly and after use you will have less cleaning of the ash to do.
