100 Lb. Propane Tank

Propane is one of the most famous fuel types, it’s a petroleum product. Propane is mostly found in the gaseous state, but it can be compressed in a container in a liquid form which can be expanded to gas. This form of fuel can be mixed with a small amount of other types of petroleum products to be used as a vehicle fuel. This is known as liquefied petroleum gas or more commonly as LPG. The 100lb tank is made of metal and it has a safety valve and knob to connect it to a stove or barbeque or any other fuel consuming appliance. A 100lb tank can accommodate almost 23.5 gallons of propane.

A standard 100lb propane tank is of the dimensions 48.5 inches tall and 14.6 inches wide, it is easily available in a hardware store or departmental store. This can be very useful to store fuel for later usage also. These days there also a gauge available in which the current level of the fuel inside the tank can be monitored. So that at the correct time the fuel can be replaced with a new tank or a refill can be done. The 100lb tank has got multiple usages; it can be used for domestic purposes. The 100lb propane tank should be handled very carefully, it is good to ensure that there is no leakage in the tank before connecting it to a stove or any kind of appliance that uses this type of fuel
