To lay bathroom tile one would think it is quite harder. But it is not as such. You will be happy to know that some basic steps are sufficient to lay tiles. The tiles which we are referring here are the ceramic tiles. There is a simple way to lay these ceramic tiles no matter how big they are in size. What care should be taken when purchasing the tiles? Though the larger tiles seem to be economical in price yet they have the greater chances to break.

The first step to lay tiles is to clean the bathroom to remove off all the debris from the floor. It should be cleaned in such a way that you should be able to see the wood. After the cleaning process is over you should continue to the next step of measuring the floor. It should be measured from edge to edge though it might include some of the areas for which you feel like tiling is not needed. The reason for this is extra tiles that are measured for the portion where the tiling is not needed can be used as the replacement tiles for those that are broken by any chance in the process of tiling the required area.

The next step to lay bathroom tile is to estimate the number of tiles needed based on the size. The less the size the more the number of tiles that are needed. Also select how withstanding the tiles should be to the daily use, though not completely dark shades would look good still better to select dark light color shades so that the daily use will not make them look aged. After selection process is over you should concrete the board with cement and secure it with simple but good decking screws and support it with a layer of mortar. Also ensure before tiling that there are no minute gaps between the concrete sheet boards.

The last but not the least is to mark the center portion of the room where you should start to lay bathroom tile. Marking the center will always make the look great even if your bathroom is not in a perfect square shape. The choice to lay the tiles can be either horizontal or vertical or could even be in diagonal. After tiling is done take enough care that you will not walk for at least 24 hours to ensure that all your efforts to lay bathroom tile is not spoiled.
