 Wood is one of the best material and comfort through ages. Long, long ago wood was burnt in the houses to ward of chill and fear at night. Slowly they learnt to shape the wood with the rocks to make tools. As time passed, they learnt to build shelters according to the climate.

Most manufacturers today provide complete sets of well-designed things to a growing number of people whose lives are highly specialized and routine. The furniture, which is being used for domestic purpose and office use, are mostly made of wood. Wood is considered a very important material in aiding, comforting and paving the road to civilization. The foremost thing we must remember is to use the wood to its best purpose.

Most modern furniture is mass-produced by machine rather than handcrafted. There are many types of chairs and tables made from the wood of different trees. They are listed below:

Our present use of wood is restricted to fast growth for trim and decoration. Due to the cutting down of trees the cost of wood is steadily rising and supplies are growing smaller. If there are no trees, there will be no wood for new work. What little now remains will be the very last.
